Crafted in Peru by skilled local artisans, each piece is made from responsibly sourced fibres. The yarn suppliers we work with hold leading sustainability credentials, including GOTS, RAS (Responsible Alpaca Standard), and OEKO-TEX® STEP certifications.
At Frill, we focus on Alpaca blends, not only for Alpaca's beautiful softness, warmth and breathability but also as it is a naturally lower-impact fibre. Alpacas are gentle on the land and require less water in the production process than wool or cashmere. When we blend alpaca with other fibres, we ensure these are responsibly sourced or made from recycled materials.
Our commitment extends to the people behind each piece. We partner with a trusted fermal owned Peruvian manafacturer who has built a thriving network of skilled artisanal knitters, ensuring fair wages, safe working conditions, and respect for traditional craftsmanship. Their dedication has been recognised with the Fair Trade Peru Good Practices Certification and the 2024 Good Practices Labor Award.
At Frill we recognise that even the most responsibly made products leave a footprint. That’s why we’re committed to making ours as small as possible by making a donation to OneTreePlanted for every order.
