Crafted in Peru by skilled artisans, each piece is made using responsibly sourced fibres. The yarn suppliers we work with hold leading sustainability credentials, including GOTS, the Responsible Alpaca Standard (RAS), and OEKO-TEX® certifications.

At Frill, we choose alpaca blends for our clothing not only for their exceptional softness, warmth and breathability, but also because alpaca is a naturally lower-impact fibre. Alpacas are gentle on the land and typically require less water than sheep or cashmere goats. Whenever we blend alpaca with other fibres, we ensure they are responsibly sourced or made from recycled materials.

For our knitted accessories, we use 100% tanguis cotton for its strength and durability.

Our commitment extends beyond the fibres we use to the people who make each piece. We partner with a trusted, female-owned Peruvian manufacturer with a longstanding network of skilled artisans and specialist workshops across different regions of Peru. By working with makers according to their individual expertise, they help preserve traditional craftsmanship while ensuring each piece is made with care and skill. Social responsibility is central to their approach, with a focus on fair wages, safe working conditions and responsible production practices. Their commitment has been recognised through the Fair Trade Peru Good Practices Certification and the 2024 Good Practices Labor Award.

For our accessories, we work with a family-run workshop where every piece is made in-house by their team. They pay above-market wages and are committed to providing safe and ethical working conditions for every employee.
